padgett Posted July 15, 2018 Share Posted July 15, 2018 If the DOWN is working you should feel a tug/tap/grunt even if all the way down. If you do the problem is the switch (same wires, just reversed). If you feel a tap on the UP position, then the window may be jammed. If nada the problem may be the motor. Jim Posted July 15, 2018 Share Posted July 15, 2018 The '88-89 window switches do go bad. Dirty contacts inside the switch cause heat inside the switch and melt the pointed rockers.
