Can anyone let me know how to remove the larger window guide on the doors, removed a small screw on the bottom of it and I am  afraid to knock it upward from the bottom. Also is their a product that I can apply to the bottom of the inside door to prevent further rusting?

Tap the Guide up about a 1/4 to 3/8 inch. there is a small part of the guide bent out and holding the top of guide to the door frame.

It will make sense when you get it loose

Thanks will give it a go. Still looking for a very fluid rust preventive product that will flow into the lower door drains

If you have surface rust in the door, there is no rust preventive product that will stop it. You need to treat the rust that you have and then a good paint will preserve it. Keep the drain holes open and keep the inside of the door free from a build up of dirt or moisture retaining  debris.

Thanks Vern and Tom; the difficulty I ran into was about 2 inches of light rust in the channel. What I ended up doing was to get a 12 inch saws-all blade and ran it up and down the sides of the channel then a small screwdriver to wedge in behind and drive it out into the open then up and out. Any recommendation on the rust treatment

Try Evaporust gel available at O'Reilly auto parts. I just used it on my headers and it did a great job. Finish with Rustoleum primer and black paint.
