1956 Buick Roadmaster 4 door hardtop

I have regretted the day I traded my 56 Roadmaster for an MGB back in 1973. Want to find another one. Not a fixer upper but a finished or close to finished car. not looking for a project. it would be ideal if it was mint green on white but beggars cant be  choosers. it would look great beside my 67 Austin Healey

Actually, people have commented that the smaller

of the '56 Buick models (Special and Century) had

better styling than the larger models (Super and

Roadmaster).  People have said the bigger bodies

looked bulbous in 1956.  I don't know whether that

comment dated to 1956 or came along later.

I see what people mean, though all '56 Buicks look okay to me.

Bob, a good-looking Special may be just the right car for you!

thanks John,  maybe so but since there is quite allot of sentimental attachment to the Roadmaster, I am kind of hung up on that model. They are bulbous, cumbersome to drive, bulky etc. that is part of the value and uniqueness to a certain extent. they will hold two French girls in the trunk however, tried that in 72 in my old car and sneeked into a drive in movie

Bob, I think you'll find that 4-door hardtops from 1956 and

thereabouts are hard to find these days.  Keep up your

patient search, but there aren't that many around.

Collectors tend to save the top-of-the-line models

and the specialty models, and overlook other models.

That means the convertibles and 2-door hardtops are

restored, and other models often neglected.

That's true across almost all makes and models.

Such a practice distorts the car population, making

production figures practically irrelevant.

Accordingly, someone looking for low-production 1953-54 Skylarks

probably has a dozen for sale to choose from now

and at any time.  Someone looking for ANY 1955-56 Buick

or Cadillac 4-door hardtop might have to be alert for a

couple of years to find even a single nice one.

But once you find one, we know it will be in good hands!

would you consider a 1956 roadmaster two door riviera hardtop with factory air conditioning, all in excellent and restored condition ?, black and red inside and outside.
