Kay Monroe Posted June 8, 2018 Share Posted June 8, 2018 Hello, Will be working as Background on the Aaron Eckhart film shooting here in Birmingham, Alabama, and want to offer my 1997 Mazda Miata for Background, also. ( I know, it's not quite an antique, though still special.) I came across Marty Roth's 2015 response to this very question, found it quite enlightening, and now wondering how that info may be updated and applied to my situation... Thank you! Guest Posted June 8, 2018 Share Posted June 8, 2018 At one time I wrangled cars for a couple of studios. Worked with several transportation captains. It was a lot of fun and a LOT of standing around. At that time rental fees were minimal for action vehicles. Many would (understandably) offer their cars at no fee just to get them in a movie. Background vehicles were never paid.
