Scott Mckenzie
So in my haste to pull the motor and trans i neglected to take pictures of a few things. The trans is coming home soon and i want to be ready so I hope you guys dont mind helping me out . first question; coil , does the wire from the distributor go to the negative side of the coil and the condenser wire go positive side ? There will be more but I thought I would start out slow. I want to double check my work Thanks Scott

Scott Mckenzie
Is there a red wire that also goes to the positive terminal?
telriv
Usually the resistor wire is a pinkish color & may have a yellow wire attached to it also from the starter solenoid.
Scott Mckenzie
I have a Red ( pink) wire that I cant place. It is on the same harness as the alternator and oil pressure sending unit could it go to the coil?
Scott Mckenzie
I rechecked the wire and it appears to go to the + side of the coil. The learning never ends. After 61 years Im learning how to read schematics... sort of. Years ago I bought a schematic with all the wires in their proper color from Classic Car Wiring (917) 861- 9131.and it slipped down behind the drawers of my tool box...guess what I just found . 1
