ckowner
Is it the same as a 1930 CK transmission? If so, I have one. Rick

Spinneyhill
I am not quite sure what you are asking for, but I think it is the carrier for the bearing. Those a couple of years later I think were originally sold as a unit, carrier with bearing pressed on. Is that the part? A picture would help us understand exactly what you want. Post 1054 on p. 43 of Taylormades' topic on the restoration of Daphne (Dodge and Dodge Brothers forum) shows the bearing and carrier for Daphne, the DL Dodge. Is yours anything like that? Further down you will see the bearing having been taken off the carrier. My interchange shows the following vehicles with the same throwout bearing. Some may have something but not know the interchange. DeSoto K, 1928-30; CF 1930; Dodge DD 1930; Chrysler 52 1928; 66 &70 1930-31; Plymouth Q 1929; U, 30U 1930 These vehicles used the same transmission. They didn't necessarily use the same input pinion though. TR72 (interchange number, perhaps Chiltons): Studebaker, 6, 53 1930 Chrysler, 52 1928 Erskine, American, 6, 51 1928 Erskine, 6, 52 1929 Erskine, 6, 53 1930 DeSoto, 6, K 1929 Chrysler, 6, CJ 1931 Plymouth, 4, Q 1929 Plymouth, 4, U, U30 1930 Edited May 17, 2018 by Spinneyhill (see edit history)

thehandleman
Hi, was it a reproduction or did Bob have a good original for you? Just wondering how long my 1929 Plymouth retainer will hold up if I need a spare and they make them? Glad Bob came thru for you.

richasco
There have been a few threads on these bearing retainers. The earlier ones are diecast metal the does/will fail over time. There are later ones that are cast or forged steel that are a direct replacement.
Vettmn
Yes, mine is a die cast and the snout broke off. They seem to be hard to find. but finally found one in California.
