Pontiac rim color?

Hello,

 

Simple question:

 

I have a 51 Pontiac Deluxe Streamliner.  What color should the rims be?  Black or body color?

I also replied to you on the POCI site but I am here more often.  Post your paint code from the firewall tag and we can tell you the original wheel color specified, Todd C

If you have a solid color car the wheels would be black unless it is green or sapphire (paint body color) OR Black (Code 5100), St Clair Blue (5101) or Yorkshire Gray (5104) when wheels were painted red.  If you have a two tone post the code for more info, Todd C

Thanks!  My car was repainted a different color when it was restored by a previous owner.  The cowl tag shows 5107 "Palmetto Green" but was painted "Victoria Maroon", which is 03.  At least that is how I read it. 

 

So, I leave the wheels black.
