Scammer Possible

Recommended Posts

Just heads up, I think this guy Marcus 44 is a scammer as he says he has all parts stated in advert, rather than saying he has the particular part and sends photo.

I may be wrong but things are not adding up.

He has been banned. Anytime you see a suspected scammer, simply hit the report button on the post or the PM. That reports it to the moderators so we can take appropriate action.

Good idea, but wouldn't we all want to know about the guy so we don't get scammed? Maybe we should create a new section about scammer warnings.

I have to disagree. Report them and they will be banned from the site. We don't need another forum filled with information on suspected scammers so that the scammers can register under another name and create more confusion with false stories about the great deal that they got from the suspected scammer and how we should allow him back. Report them and they will be gone.

If you see a deal that looks too good to be true. It is too good to be true. If you see someone with no history of posts on the forum offering you the rare part that you need and it seems too good to be true, don't fall for it. You will lose your money. Deal only with people with a proven track record of posts that demonstrates that they are legitimate antique car hobbyists and you will find some good deals. Gamble on an unknown individual, and you can be assured of losing money.

And if you put your email address in a "wanted add" that is an open invitation to possible scammers
