Bill Stoneberg
On OCTOBER 12-13, 2018, come to the heart of the beautiful Texas Hill Country for a weekend of food, friends and touring in your Buick. The Alamo Chapter is hosting the fall regional meet. Rather than a traditional car show format, this will be a touring meet with headquarters at the Inn of the Hills along the Guadalupe river in Kerrville Texas. Festivities will include a welcoming Bar B Que dinner Friday night at Bill & Dee Stoneberg’s house. The tour Saturday will follow the South Fork of the Guadalupe River as we climb up to the top of the Edwards Plateau. We will then drop back down into the Sabinal River valley passing Lost Maples State Park and then turning west to experience one the three “twisted sisters” on the way to Leaky in the Frio River Canyon for lunch. After lunch we will return via 83 to Garvens store and Hwy 41 past the YO ranch. Eventually, we will turn on 1340 and traverse the North Fork of the Guadalupe River to Hunt and then back to Kerrville. This will be a tour of about 120 miles tour on scenic roads. Dinner Saturday night will be at the host hotel where we will partake of a Prime Rib buffet. For hotel reservations, contact the Inn of the Hills, https://www.innofthehills.com or (800) 292-5690. Ask for the Buick Club of America room rate of $129 / night. This rate is good until September 12, 2018. Expect some fun and driving on this meet, come with a full tank of gas and the desire to see the wide-open spaces of Texas. Registration fee - $25.00 per couple Friday night BBQ - $17.00 per person Saturday night dinner - $20.00 per person Contact Bill Stoneberg with questions – bill.stoneberg@gmail.com Edited August 8, 2018 by MrEarl add dates (see edit history)
