Schmiddy
Does anyone know where to find a new steering center link for my 65? I have already found providers who can make nice refurbish. (Here for, the original part must be sent). This option is way too expensive for me. I would like to have a new part sent to Switzerland. Any ideas or links? RivNut
No new ones, no reproductions. Your best bet might be to buy one from someone states side then have it sent for rebuilding and have the rebuilder ship it to you. Ed
Schmiddy
Hmmm... Unfortunately, that's what I feared. Seems that these parts are pretty rare! I know a nice guy on Facebook, his name is David Jackson and he is one of the admins of the "new" official ROA Facebook group... He is able to send me a good steering center link. But due to the ridiculous shipping fees from the US to Switzerland, this is the second option. I first want to check by a local mech if its possible to repair mine. Thanks Ed! Just besides:https://www.facebook.com/groups/BuickRivieraOwners/ This group has been around for some time, but thanks to various clarifications and negotiations by Ray (Knott), this group became the official ROA Facebook group in March 2018 - wich I think is a very cool and interesting group! JZRIV
Might be a long shot but try talking to Rare Parts Inc. Explain your situation. Maybe you could talk them into selling you the repair parts they use when they rebuild them Then have your shop install them if they can. If Switzerland is anything like the states, when it comes to rebuilding steering components a shop may have some reservations due to liability concerns, especially when using parts supplied by customer. Hello Jason Thank you for your valuable and much appreciated inputs! I've found few suppliers in the States who are rebuilding/refurbishing rare parts, but I did not know this company, it looks very solid. This the best I've found so far:http://fcrcmachine.com/rare-parts-center-link-refurbish-service-1963-1965-buick-riviera-26781/ I will consult my mechanic and see what the best solution would be. I'm pretty sure he would be able to install the repair parts if it possible to get them from Rare Parts Inc. Worse case is that I must send my old drag link and let it refurbish from a US specialist like Rare Parts Inc... If I have to go through, I go through. OldGerman

KongaMan
Looks like they all end up outsourcing the work to Rare Parts in Stockton.
