deaconhoo
I am going through items I inherited and am hoping someone can help me identify the vehicle(s) and year(s) that can use this headlight. The tag says Guide Motor Lamp Mfg Co. Model 57. Thanks for your help. Edited March 13, 2018 by deaconhoo (see edit history)
lump
Terry Bond may be able to assist you with this question better than most of us. But I'll offer this much... Many, many, many brass lights were made by companies who supplied them to many different OEM car manufacturers. Only a FEW of those manufacturers were willing or able to pay to have their own lights made to spec, or to have special name tags made with that car-maker's name on them. Also, the same manufacturers sold them by the hundreds to hardware stores, auto parts stores, etc. Many were added after the cars had been sold by a dealer long ago, making them "aftermarket" by nature. We can better gauge the AGE of your light, if we can see inside the outer lens, so we can tell if it was a carbide light, gas light, or electric light, etc. Then some of the experts will have a better chance to help you.
