John_Mc
Hi, I know it is linked to the distributor, but not sure where it hooks in, is it a ground?? Thanks in advance.
19tom40
It looks like it is a yellow wire with a black tracer and it would go to the cutout on the generator. The other 2 wires look like they are red with a yellow tracer and go to the coils.

John_Mc
By the way Tom, speaking of generators, is there a place that you would recommend to “refresh” and insure my generator is in tip top shape?????

Waldren
Are you sure that is not the temp. wire?
John_Mc
No I think the temp wire is on the left inner fender.
19tom40
That wiring is for cars later than 1941. The 1937 temp indicator wire runs along the inner fender along with the headlight wires. The 37 has a cutout and only uses one wire to the generator. I believe that the Temperature sending unit is in the radiator on the 37.
Tom_Overfield
The year of the Lincoln in question, whoosh, right over my head, my bad. The photos I did send were from my 41 Continental .
19tom40
It is too bad that you deleted the post. It showed the correct way to wire a 41-48 car and a very nice engine compartment. The photo that I posted is from an unrestored 37 Zephyr. It is a very nice car that lives in the Phoenix, AZ area. It is not my car, but if I were inclined to add a car to my collection, I would be camping on the owner's doorstep.
