fsnooks
need top canvas for 1926 touring? Where can I get?
trimacar
The original material is not available. It was a woven top material, black, with light tan or beige backing. There are replicated Pantasote style materials available, Haartz Jonart line, on some of these you need to contact Eric Haartz directly. Haartz cloth (Stayfast) is available in a lot of color combinations, and while not exactly correct for your car, it looks great and gives good service. I don't believe AACA judging takes any points off for a reasonable replacement of top material.
MikeC5
LeBaron-Bonney is one place that sells the good stuff. https://www.lebaronbonney.com/cart/fabricbytheyard.php?Cc=TOPPING It ain't cheap. And I was told I'd need around 10 yards to do my '25.
trimacar
Actually, if you do the straps and pads out of top material, you need closer to 12-13 yards. 3 yards for main top panel, 3 yards for side panels, 3 yards for pads - straps - reinforcements, and 3 yards for rear curtain (rear curtain has no seams and was a solid piece originally). Eric Haartz will sell you some of the more obscure top materials directly from Haartz, but for the common Haartz Cloth / Stayfast, you need to go through LaBaron-Bonney, Hirsch, or some other supplier.
