RiKi5156B
Looking at this 56 my guess would be 2 standard size 1 wheel wheelbarrows filled to the point of looking like a snow one filled with hundred dollar bills. Should just about do it.
56 Buick
Likely very true. I was considering buying a nice 2-door recently but there was rust on the undercarriage and in the bottom of most of the panels. The rest of the car was good, yet there quotes from 10k up to 30k to fix that rust. But if you have the skill and tools to do the sheet metal and paint then it becomes affordable. Most don't but there are likely some on the forum who do and perhaps have the motivation.
RiKi5156B
Look at some of the TV shows that use a lot of repro sheet metal to finish a car. They take on projects that most people wouldn’t. Still comes down to money. Gas monkey,Graveyard carz, fired up and so on will take on projects like that but at what point is it more reasonable to look for a better body? Some of Graveyard carz restos are unbelievably rough to start with. But they are generally low volume highly desirable cars.A guy here in Washington State went through about 8 to 10, 40 Ford coupes until he found the most perfect body I’ve seen. 56 Buick aren’t all that rare.
