Larry Schramm
I have this gear set with carrier. The carrier is 8.25 inches in diameter and 3 inches wide. It is made of bronze? It has eight gears as shown that fit into the carrier every other one from the opposite side. The only marking is the number: T1500 2. Any ideas what it fits? It will probably be for sale. Grandpa
I am don't know the application. However, from the gear arrangement, it looks like a device to reverse the rotation of the input shaft.
1912Staver
It looks like the differential that is used in my 1918 Packard 2 Ton. Notice the "T" prefix on the numbers, Timken built the shaft drive rear ends that Packard used in their trucks. Note as far as I know the rear end complete was used by Packard only, not sure if they were Packard design or Timkin. The diff itself might be used in other Timken rear ends.
