Under sources, boos- herell, Allen Willhan, Earle Brown. Change the real seal to  an updated one, any of the sources can assist you with this. Have the mains line bored, the crank miked and have it ground to the next underside. Have the heads checked for flatness. Cam bearings should be replaced.  If you can find this on eBay, The Lincoln Continental, with a photo of the front nose, 41.  A fantastic resource for V-12 mods, you really need this. It is not hard bound, but they are available on eBay right now for 15 bucks

The one piece valve guides are a mixed blessing. They reduce the oil consumption, but increase the sticky valve problem. If you go with the one piece guides, add Marvel Mystery Oil or another top cylinder oil to your gas every other fill up or skip a couple of fill ups and then add it. If you run your tank nearly empty use it on every other fill up, if you are like me and fill up when the tank is half full, skip a couple of fill ups so that you don't have too much MMO in the fuel.

The first symptom of sticky valves on my car is a rough idle.
