BARSTOWCRANBROOK
I just found out That my 1952 Plymouth Cranbrook was owned byMoe Dalitz from 1952 to 20016 and Driven by His Wife.and i have proof of this from the Dmv and Original Sales Slip and Registration cardsThat i got from His Daughter Suzanne dalitz.I bought it from a man that got it from His Daughter and When he got itit was up on Blocks in a Garage in Las Vegas NV .It's still in Mint Condition and runs like new with less than 80,000 original milesand the radio still works. And i got it for under $3,000....So now i think it's worth a lot moreHe was a Famous Las Vegas Mob Boss , Bootlegger , Casino Owner.Google his Name...Pretty badass i think.. JACK M
Good old cars, not real high on the list of desirability. History may or may not affect the value. Mob boss bought a lower end car, so ??? I am thinking maybe a couple thou on a good day.
Guest
Looks to be in nice condition for 66 years old. I agree, a couple of thousand is probably the real value. It does seem odd that a "mob boss" would buy such a low end car. What provenance did you get with the car? That could help to raise the value for collectors of that ilk. JACK M
Not to be picky but "mint" is a very strong word to use in a description, wouldn't show the paint fading on top of the fenders, or faded chrome. I am not from Las Vegas, but have been there several times. Never heard of this guy. There has been discussion on these forums about values of things (cars) once owned by the rich and famous. If you search you might find a recent thread. I think if you are into it for three then you should just enjoy the drive and the story. I doubt you will make a profit. Or, good luck on your sale. But I'm so sheltered....lol So the car may bring a bit more in LV than on the open www market.
Reg Evans
Well Golllllleee. I would think this car, even though it has extra doors, would bring more than 2K. My 2017 collectors guide says maybe around 4 K if it's in between #3 and #4 condition.
