Summershandy
My battery tray when I got the car was disgusting. Rusted and covered in sulphate. I've since grounded it down and plan on repainting it. Question, should I just have the battery sit on the painted tray or use some sort of liner. My battery is new if that matters. I've seen acid neutralizing liners on Amazon and not too expensive. What are the rest of y'all doing or using and working for you? Thanks in advance! GARY F
I powder coated mine in my 63 Bonne. in 2000. just sit the battery on it. no problems. I also powder coated my tray in my 63 GP in 2005. no problem, just sit the battery on it.

Summershandy
I ended up wire wheeling my old tray. Gave it a couple good coats of rust paint. Cleaned up the battery connections real good. Gave them a spray of WD40 on the battery. Everything is holding up good. Got a new battery cuz it must have been the one that came with the car that was causing the grief.
