Guest
Just received my firewall insulation. Looks like a very nice quality piece. Jute backing is very dense, heavy front cardboard and nice rubber edging. Holes are cut very precise. Best part? It's made right here in the USA! Found it on eBay, $109.95 with free shipping from Class-Tech-Cars out of Timberville, VA.

Try Quiet Ride Solutions www.quietride.com in Stockton, CA. I have one in my 1930 Pierce, installed 17 years ago, and it's still superb. If your car is not in the catalog, call them. keiser31
Thanks, Grimy. Went there and did not see one for my car, so I will call them.
Guest
....and after installation. Went in very easy, all holes were surprisingly accurate. I think I'll put this one in the "Win" column.

There is an outfit making firewall pads out of ABS plastic. They have one on ebay from time to time. I don't seem to have bookmarked them but I'll keep looking. Update: Here you are. California Pontiac Restorations. They have a number of them on ebay now but not a 1931 Dodge. Here is a 1931 De Soto pad: https://www.ebay.com/itm/1931-Desoto-Firewall-Pad/261940949207?hash=item3cfce5b0d7:g:EMkAAOSw-vlViIXM&vxp=mtr They have a web site but it only mentions Pontiac stuff: http://pontiacparts.net/default.htm Edited December 4, 2017 by Spinneyhill more information (see edit history)

Guest
I checked with Class-Tech-Cars, they don't offer one for the '31 Dodge yet either.
