poci1957 Posted December 21, 2017 Share Posted December 21, 2017 (edited) The Pontiac Master Parts Catalogs from 1956, 1958 and 1960 have the following listing: ACCESSORY Section, Used Car Reconditioning Materials GROUP # 8.777 PART # 984721 DESCRIPTION: Flock, Goat Hair, 4lb The earlier listings also show two other colors, white and gray, and flock adhesive, sold by the gallon. So maybe others can chime in but "flock" as I know it was as used as a fuzzy surface in glove boxes and console compartments, I guess this would be more of an insulation? I also can't explain why the part number in the catalog and the number on the bag do not match, but this is the only reference to "goat hair" I have ever seen in the Pontiac world.
