More junkyard finds!

Yeah, took me five years of hunting and three units to make one work, and a lot of walking through every salvage yard I stumble on when on the road.

 

On was a complete surprise.  I found my mast in an itty bitty yard hid behind a mountain due north of Bishop, CA.  And the only reason I was on that road was a snow closure that sent me on a desolate detour to Reno.

 

Oh, the fun of the hunt!  

 

Just out of curiosity, I looked it up on Google Maps recently.  Sad to say, the yard and its contents are long gone.

I believe the power antennas were same from early 57 back several years...they changed them during the 57 model year run.  Anyway a have a few from 57's and may end up with an extra working restored one next year.  If I do I'll post first in these forums.
