The Caponemobile
Today I let a friend drive my 1930 Chrysler 77. He is a professional truck driver, as well as a trained mechanic. I had to teach him how to double clutch. He fell in love with my car, and until he goes back to California I will have trouble getting to use it. He collects sixty and seventies Buicks, and he said he had never before driven a car made before WW II. (But then, he is only fifty years old.) He asked a simple question, and I certainly don't know the answer. Was my 1930 Chrysler delivered with rubber pads on the clutch and brake pedals? He noted that if your shoes were wet it would be easy to slip off the iron pedal. I looked casually a few months ago to see if pads were available but came up with nothing. What is the general opinion on that question? Thanks. John Losch
keiser31
Yes, there would have been pedal pads and they would be the same pattern as the rubber on the gas pedal. http://www.vintagepartsclub.com/chrysler-1930-1939-clutch-and-brake-pedal-pads-2-5-8-wide-x-3-3-4-long-pair/ Edited August 14, 2017 by keiser31 (see edit history)
Steelbreeze
I would think Andy Bernbaum would have replacements.
