petelempert
Spotted at a groundbreaking ceremony for one of those high end car storage facilities in Dallas this weekend. Looked like a pretty good build. Definitely had presence. Made me realize how important the roofline is to the original design. PRL
Seafoam65
Very interesting.......never seen a roof removal on a 66-67 before. I agree that the roofline is the most dramatic feature of the 63-73 Riviera. They look better as a hardtop.
PWB
Beautiful, I can appreciate all the skill it took. Indeed, the loss of roofline and iconic sail is missed. Love sister '67 Electra roof line with vinyl to accentuate. Somewhat lost in the convertible version. My favorite of all. Will find my Limited one day. petelempert
For me, it's got too much "bustle" in the area behind the rear seats. That said, it appeared to be very well built and not an easy job. It's a matter of personal taste. Without a roof, the real large size of the second gen car is accentuated. In person, this is a big open car. I just hope the doors still open after a few years. PRL

PRL If frame is reinforced well, doors shoudn't be a problem... looks like there is a lot of skills in that build so that they also thought about that issue!? I like that car, nice color and well done interior! Only thing I would change are the wheels! ??
smithbrother
You could/can duplicate the original roof contour/design in carbon fiber or fiber glass as a LIFT OFF piece, then enjoy BOTH worlds. Dale in Indy
