Guest
Hello all,
I love getting into the history of things and I've recently gotten into collecting vintage Dodge stuff. In learning the history of Dodge Brothers I've read in several publications that the Dodge Brothers died early on, at young ages in the same year of 1920. No one elaborates on this, oddly. Does anyone know if they died coincidentally of natural causes or some kind of accident. Just morbid curiosity! Thank you!
Tim
Guest leadfoot
Never has been much of a mystery. John Dodge died in the flu epidemic of 1920. I believe the brothers were at the New York Auto Show at the time. Horace died a short time later in 1921, reportedly from complications of the flu. Guest
Thank you for the info. I guess this is one of the moments when the good old days weren't! Back then it looks like you could sneeze and drop dead.
Thanks again!
Tim
