fastdrink
I have a Rochester carburetor for my 63 River I live in Houston and was wondering do I need the carburetor choke heater to be connect ,and will it make a big difference in performance or is it just for cold start ups? Seafoam65
If you don't have a choke tube there will be no heat to the choke housing which means that you will have to adjust the choke flap to be wide open all the time since if you set it to close when cold it will never open and flood out the engine. Consequently the car will not want to stay running till it warms up, even in Houston.
