Guest wwayman
Retired engineer here. I personally restored this car over a 10 year period. It was finished in 2004. REO built ~400 2-door Brougham's in 1929, this is one of 4 remaining! It won First junior AACA National award in 2010. It has been driven ~3,000 miles since the restoration. It was REO's first year for Hydraulic brakes, car was converted to silicone fluid when restored. Upgrades include safety glass, right tail light, turn signals, solid state voltage regulator, paper air filter, full flow oil filter, overdrive, gas heater and halogen headlight bulbs. The original air cleaner and some other parts will be included in the sale. During the restoration the engine bearings, clutch and drivetrain were inspected and deemed to be serviceable as is. Like all cars of this era it leaks a little oil. An overdrive was added behind the transmission and is engaged by the small switch on the shift lever. With the overdrive you can cruise at 60MPH without straining the engine. New 6V battery. It is licenced and inspected. The condition is a solid #2. I have 7 cars and something has to go to make room for the next project. Located in Ontario NY, 14519 $35K or best reasonable offer. Jim Bollman
It is a very nice car. I have ridden in it many times over the years since Bill finished the restoration including at speeds of 55+mph on the express.
RansomEli
A beautiful restoration at a fair price. These are good-running cars. One small clarification: 1927 was the first year for hydraulic brakes.

Auction closes 8/5 I think you mean September 5, don't you? (That's 9/5.) Yes, it looks like a very nice car. I appreciate seeing things that are out of the ordinary.
