keiser31
Show us the engine number and we will be able to tell you. It is on the front left side of the engine on a flat pad just below the cylinder head.
wldavis
I believe the stamped engine number should start with P23.
Harold
The original engine number is stamped on the side of the chassis near the left rear wheel. You probably have to clean away rust and undercoating to see it.
Rusty_OToole
Engine number is stamped on a raised pad. On the left side of the block, at the top, next to the #2 cylinder. Look above the generator. 1951 Plymouth Concord, Suburban or Savoy should start P22 1951 Plymouth Cambridge or Cranbrook should start P23

Spinneyhill
Can you use factory parts books that show years, models, engine number and serial number ranges? They you show them the car with the factory photos to verify model etc, and produce the serial and engine number to prove year? If the car has no legal ownership paper, how do you show proof of ownership? A receipt? a pile of receipts from the last few owners?
