LARGE 2-piece petrol Shell Sign

Hi there,

 

I have this large (54") Shell sign that is in 2 pieces.  

It is in fairly good condition (compared to some others that I have seen online).  It was taken from my grandfathers barn in Ontario, Canada.

Can anyone provide information on it? Year?  Is it enamel?

Looks like enamel to me the way the enamel has chipped in the damaged areas Paint doesn't chip like that
