1956322
Anyone know the size of thread for the heater fitting that threads into the radiator... Just tried a 1/2 not and that was to big..
1956322
Looks like it's 3/8 not.. Not common with a 3/4 nipple
Beemon
The only thing that threads into a 56 Radiator is the Dynaflow cooler lines. Do you mean the water pump?

1956322
Well this ended up being trickier then I expected..I can not find a fitting that's 3/4 nipple and 3/8th npt to save my life..I found a 3/4 and 3/8 nps fitting but that's it.. For now I went with the 5/8th nipple and 3/8th npt.. And I'll use a hose adopter of 5/8th to 3/4... Sighs

Simply make and braze a 3/4" bushing over the 5/8" one and viola, near instant permanent and undetectable fix. If you pay postage both ways I'll do it N.C.............Bob
1956322
That's a good idea.. I'll have to give that some thought:)
Bhigdog
Ideally use a brass fitting with a brass sleeve. Makes soft soldering easy and corrosion resistant. McMaster lists a 3/8 X 5/8 barb fitting in brass..............Bob
