I guess its time I replace those loose horn buttons. I'm wondering what a good source or supplier would be. i.e., are all replacement horn buttons equal, or are some better than others ?? Thank you

I think I have some, however if you have access to a local You Pick you can find them in Roadmasters, LeSabres, etc in years close to ours. You have my contact info if you need me.

There were three engineering levels (changes) for the button design.

The first design had a guide with a "hook" or catch ....one of these at the top and bottom of the button.

The second design was an intermediate "fix" using fishing line.

The third and last design added 2 additional guides with hooks on the straight side of the button.

Below is a photo of some with the fishing line fix, and the sketch shows how you can add the fishing line if most of the guide is there.

I found this photo showing the last version with the extra guides/catches on the left........the first design with a broken or bent guide/catch on the right.

The second photo shows all three  versions
