1953 Nash Hydro Tailshaft Seal

Does anyone know what the current p/n is for this seal? It presently has a C/R 15041 in it (Nat # is 9613s for the C/R 15041). Since I installed the seal, it has been leaking some. So I'm thinking that the ID on the seal may be a little loose.

 

O'Reilly's & other part stores call for a Nat 7038as. But comparing the 7038as to my extra C/R 15041, shows that the housing OD is bigger on the Nat 7038as, so I don't think it will fit.

 

Since the Nash has an enclosed driveshaft, it's not easy to get to the seal and "experiment", so I would like to know if I have the right seal before I take everything apart again. My problem is that where I'm working on the Nash, I am unable to leave it in any disassembly stage.

 

Any information  for the correct seal will be greatly appreciated! - Michael
