Barney Eaton
Below is a note received from a Reatta owner.......I am not good at engine problems, so I enlist your help suggestion what needs to be checked/replaced. My 1990 Reatta has an idle problem that none can solve. My regular mechanic and the dealership can correct it for a short time but it inevitably returns to a faster rpm. They can set it for 750 rpm and it will stay there for a day or two, but, then speeds up to 1500 and sometimes 2000 rpm regularly. I think I've been patient with them but they don't seem to be able to solve the problem. Can you suggest anything that might be causing the fast idle and possibly a solution?
