Devjas
Hi All, want to remove the wire covers off my 65 Riv. I don't want to damage the covers with the wrong tool or procedure. Any help in doing this would be greatly appreciated... Devjas
Dales90
I'm sure everyone has a technique, but I used the tire iron (jack handle) with a towel wrapped around the tip. It can take awhile but protects the edge as you pry them off. Good luck.

Devjas I bought this for the sole purpose of removing my NOS Super Deluxe covers. Yours are similar. Does no damage. The bumper acts as leverage against the tire. https://www.amazon.com/Ken-Tool-31568-Standard-Puller-Replacer/dp/B000MIWLXO/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1490467237&sr=8-2&keywords=hub+cap+remover

bodayguy
I use a screwdriver, pry it at the area where the air nozzle sits. I have found the cover can bend in other areas.

Hold on to your cover with a free hand or have a buddy grab it. Might want to put a cushion under all to protect from an accidental fall.
