Can someone tell me about Duesenberg pipes?

5 posts in this topic

Hi there,

I don't know much about inline engines or Duesenbergs. I sometimes see photos with Duesenbergs with exhuast pipes exiting the hood on both sides. While the vast majority are only on the one side, and I can obviously see looking at the straight 8 that they are on one side. So can someone tell my why I see some Duesenberg pics with pipes exiting the hood on both sides of the car?

Thanks,

Ross

When you see them exit from the driver's side then you know you are looking at a 1980s Duesenberg II with a ford truck engine in it.

When they made the last Gatsby movie they were so cheap then didn't use a real Model J and anybody that knows anything about prewar cars knew they were looking at a Ford truck with a glass body.
