1934 Ford V-8 Model 40 Deluxe Roadster.

Simply put, this is a great example of a very desirable and iconic Ford. This rare deluxe roadster is a recent and professional restoration on what was always a solid, straight, and honest, American-built Ford.

Needless to say, this is all Henry Ford steel. On the outside, the overall fit and finish is outstanding, however, if you know these vehicles-especially the roadsters-its what is underneath that counts. When you crawl around this car, all of the crucial components such as floor pans, rockers, door sills, subframe, etc are straight and solid. The bottoms of the fenders are just as clean as the tops. On the exterior, the doors and hood fit the body properly. The Coach Maroon paint is gorgeous and shows virtually no signs of wear.

The interior is excellent in both the passenger area and the rumble seat. The top shows hardly any wear. The dashboard was properly restored with all of its proper gauges. An additional, aftermarket temperature gauge has been added. This car is fitted with the rare and desirable Ford glove box radio, full metal spare tire cover, etc.

Under the hood, this example has a great running 1935 engine that has been fitted with cast iron cylinder heads. (Yes, I know the engine is not painted the correct Ford color!). This roadster starts easily whether hot or cold, idles well, accelerates smoothly and goes down the road with the speed and agility that a good running flathead Ford should. The clutch is smooth, the transmission shifts easily up and down, the original mechanical brakes stop the car firmly and square; the steering is light and responsive. Other than the original radio, which only makes static, everything else on the car seems to function as it should. This car really is a pleasure to drive.

This Ford sits right all the way around. It presents well inside and out. This was not pieced together from bits, nor is it a converted export version.
