Jim
I am pleased to announce that I will be taking over the sale of the convertible visor clips from Kingsley. The following was on Kingsley's web site. Description The original Buick Reatta convertible sun visor clip frequently failed in normal use and is no longer available. Reatta Specialty Parts now offers a reproduction of the original OEM convertible sun visor clip. It is visually identical to the OEM convertible sun visor clip, however, a slight change has been made in the ABS colored resin material and it is now slightly flexible and not prone to break when stressed with use. The composition of this ABS resin is the result of extensive testing by Reatta Specialty Parts. This injection molded replication has a homogeneous color, a textured finish, and is sharply detailed and dimensionally perfect. The resin itself is colored, homogeneous and extremely close to the OEM production part. * It is offered in five colors: Garnet Red Flame Red Medium Gray Sapphire Blue Medium Beechwood (Saddle/Tan) Don't forget to select the color you need. * Fits the right or left side The price will stay the same. $ 65 each plus $ 8 for Priority Mail shipping. If interested please email me at reattas60@gmail.com Jim Edited March 6, 2017 by Jim (see edit history)
Barney Eaton
First I will say these are excellent quality parts and Kingsley did a great job of getting the colors correct, as Jim said, the color is solid through the part, the material used is a engineered plastic, stronger than the originals. At first you might feel the price is high, but consider that to make these parts available, a mold had to be made, I don't know the cost but a simple mold can run $5000. Then you pay the supplier to set up the operation and then pay per part. The parts get delivered and then you wait for Reatta owners to buy them while you are setting on an investment of several thousand dollars. This is one reason no one has stepped up to reproduce convertible weather stripping. It takes a long time to recover your cost and actually make a profit. Booreatta
well said Barney it is tough to make parts for these old cars. there are a lot of cars out there that need items that are not available or the parts that are available are very high in cost. A lot of car will simply go unrepaired and will continue to only decay. There is already a lot less posting on this web site which tells me that a lot of people who used to post here no longer own their cars or have found them too costly for up keep. Kingsley has done a lot for this club and I appreciate his efforts. We have others like the Great Jim Finn that continues to have parts available for owners at good prices. Marck Barker continues to offer parts and has done a good job keeping our cars running also. Little things about our cars can drive me nuts but these are fun cars and the cost of up keep will separate the men from the boys.... I appreciate everybodys efforts

Although I don't have a convertible, I'm happy to see you step up to the plate and continue the work Kingsley did to make the sun visor clips available. Jim
Thank you for the comments. I was in kind of a jamb because Ebay and Paypal want all the money they can get from their customers and I wanted to keep the price as low as I could. Until a few minutes ago I had them on Ebay for $ 69 and free shipping and at the same time I had them here for $ 65 plus $ 7 for Priority Mail shipping. My thought was to send the ebay clips via standard mail but then I would have to find boxes for them or maybe a padded envelope and then risk damage in shipping. I just now changed the ebay ad to $ 73 with free shipping and most likely will still ship them via standard mail as selling them through ebay I pay ebay fees and Paypal fees. In addition, the USPS raised their Priority Mail flat rate so I am forced to hike the Priority mail rate a dollar. I guess the bottom line is if I sell one through ebay it will go standard mail but if someone orders one directly from me, through this site or Ronnies site or??? be sure and let me know and it will go Priority Mail. Jim
Time goes by really fast. I see the last time I posted about these clips was over a year ago so I thought I would bring it to the top as spring is coming and folks are getting their convertibles out. I do still have the clips available in all colors.
Oscardt
Hi, Jim! Do you still have convertible visor clips available? If so, I would like to buy a pair in the tan color. What is the best way to reach you? Thanks! On 3/29/2018 at 7:07 AM, Jim said: Time goes by really fast.
