Guest John Bignell
Thank you for your support and consideration of our project to save and restore the oldest surviving Nova Scotia ambulance. The Nova Scotia Paramedic Society is a professional organization open to everyone interested in the history of Nova Scotia EMS. Our society promotes the study, research and communication of the history of emergency health services in all of its facets. We are registered since 2011 as a not-for-profit society with the Nova Scotia Registry of Joint Stocks. Our board is elected by its peers with a suggested term of 2 years and meets annually. We believe that this ’54 Pontiac ambulance could be the catalyst in growing interest for our history and the first step in developing a plan for an EMS museum and historical archive. We hope to bring it back to Nova Scotia to be restored so future generations can see our history. This asset will be the property of the Nova Scotia Paramedic Society to be shared by all who cherish our 182 years of continuous EMS history. Durant Mike
I had a 1950 Pontiac Ambulance/Hearse once. Great car and long and big. Wished I had it back today!
