VMCCA Western Tour

We just got back form a week of touring in the mountains in New Mexico. We took the 1928 Chrysler, but got a wonderful ride ini the only Packard on the tour, a 1953 Packard 400 Durham custom limosine. This wonderful car had a padded top, and curved division window. It was wisper quiet and road wonderfully. It was awarded a Gold medal in judging, quite an accomplishment considering it was last painted in 1959.

Yep, the miracle of ( grossly underated and mis-understood) DD LACQUER paint!!! The finest of the fine even by todays (lowered)standards.
