I've found that you can usually find a competent upholster in most cities that can easily replicate any interior if they have something from which to work.  If there's anything left of the original, then they can reproduce what you need.  I've found it easier / less expensive to sometimes just have the panels that are worn replaced rather than going for a complete re-po kit.

On my '65, only the "seat buns" are worn.  I got a quote to replace only those panels and use the backs and sides from the originals and it was much cheaper than buying a complete kit.

If you are in Florida anywhere south of I-10 there is an upholstery restoration shop that can do it.  They do great work at a decent price.  Been in business since 1954.  Located in Sarasota.  Hoyt's Auto Upholstery.

Hard to see, yet it looks like it had the 66 valve cover indent. Did that ever come perhaps on late built 65?

1965 Buick Riviera

fuel: gas
title status: clean
transmission: automatic

Very rare, Hawaii car, 45,000 original miles, runs very well, engine needs nothing, the transmission rebuilt by the best, Noble himself, with only the best parts, and he claimed it was the strongest production trans. ever made. It's called the Super turbine 400, built by Buick, before the Pontiac turbo 400. The rear end is gigantic, with built in ladder bars(factory), and positraction. All heavy duty, factory overkill, but awesome!
One year only for the 425 cid
2x4 bbl 360 hp 465 ft/lb torque
This is a monster! Nothing was stronger in 1965. This was the best GM had to offer, including Cadillac. Nobody even came close to building a car that could compete with it.
That's the good part of story, has rust. Need a donor body, or new Sheetmetal. Mostly around the back window, and in the trunk, rear quarters....but too much for the amateur, and many professionals.
From the doors to the front isn't all that bad. A few holes in the fire wall, but fixable. But considering the condition of the rest of the cab, it's best to replace the whole shell.
If I was keeping it, I'd cut the top off, custom make a truck bed out of the trunk.
Buick convertible el Camino.......
el Riviera.
But if was in the mainland.....
There's lots of Riviera body's in Texas, so this car could be saved and back to original.
The interior is nice, low miles, but the carpet is awful.
The gas tank is gone, but fuel line was replaced, and hooks up to a fuel cell, so it'll run. A leak in the radiator means only short distances
It's scary powerful, iconic design, it shouldn't be forgotten.
Rescue this classic muscle car!
I'd like it out of my neighbors driveway soon. I have 5 cars at my house, just don't have room or time for this project.
Serious only please, No text or phone offers.
$3000 cash in person only.

1966 Buick Riviera GS

fuel: gas
odometer: 36000
title status: clean
transmission: automatic

Clean and rust free 1966 Buick Riviera. All original, except for paint. 36k orignal miles. Everything works except for A/C and radio. Runs and drives great. New brakes. New tires. New Battery. The gas tank was cleaned out and boiled overnight. Edelbrock carb but still have original.

New paint job--looks real nice, but not the perfect, yet it is near show quality and nice enough for daily driving.

This is a well taken care of original car. Bought from original owner about 4 years ago. The car is in excellent condition with normal wear. Price negotiable, but these are valuable cars, so no BS and i don't need help selling or need to sell it, so no low ballers. Call ,Text or email 321-fourZeroEIght-2ninE5two

On Bring a Trailer: 1965 Buick Riviera Gran Sport

The Verde Green looks great on this car!

This 1965 Buick Riviera Gran Sport is finished in Verde Green over a green interior and powered by numbers-matching 425ci Super Wildcat V8 paired with a 3-speed automatic transmission. Factory equipment also includes a dual-quad intake, air conditioning, power steering, and 4-wheel finned aluminum drum brakes. This example was reportedly registered in California between 1965 and 1998. This Riviera GS is now being offered with an original Protect-O-Plate, manuals, and a clear Virginia title.

OK Mike: This, or an identical twin like it has been spammed and misrepresented on many different Craig's Lists, e bay and who knows where else.  When any car is put out there and marketed like this it's a cinch there's something ominous going on. Check this past Summer's posts on this topic from this forum and V-8Buick.com.   Mitch

Mitch, I think that was a different car, although very similar to this one. I remember it popping up on Craigslist in multiple cities. Somebody on one of the facebook groups even came forward and said they knew the real owner of the car and that it was definitely NOT for sale.

I can never figure out how so many air cleaners are put on wrong.  There are alignment tabs on the carb and air cleaner base to make sure you do it correctly.  Did someone paint this green over silver or is it not the original engine?

Hey RivNut. What's the black tank sitting on the driver's side inner fender?
