It appears to me that a new heater hose has been attached to the water pump then attached to the old hose coming from the heater core. Why one of them wasn't shortened in the first place is the question.

Right. I just don't know if I had ever seen a Riviera with bucket seats and no console shifter OR center non-shifter console. But NOW I have! Perhaps they put in seats later without any console? Others like this out there from factory?

The full-length operating console was optional at extra cost on bucket seat models.

The non-operating floor console was standard on models equipped with bucket seats.

Therefore, the floor console was removed on the Los Angeles Craigslist 1968 Riviera or a non-operating floor console was requested to be deleted when the vehicle was ordered (probably less likely).

Further, no chrome air cleaner lid appears to be present. This was removed, requested to be swapped for a standard air cleaner lid when the vehicle was ordered (probably less likely) or the vehicle may not be not be a genuine GS.

The color of the Los Angeles Craigslist Riviera is not the same shade of green as Code S - Olive Gold Metallic, an exclusive Riviera color.

Olive gold metallic was specified on 22.59% of all 1968 Rivieras per Darwin Falk's Options Not Included series of articles in the Riview.

It was either repainted a somewhat different shade of green or or special color specified from the factory (probably less likely).

Only 742 factory black in 69. The ad is saying they have over $70K put into it? Does that include storage fees? Anyway, looks like a nice vehicle and if thats the original paint color. Maybe a sweet deal.

Let me pick it apart for a second. No cornering lights (which I love), and standard interior. Roll up windows (some people like that), and they did the carpet wrong. Looks like there is a hole where the remote mirror control goes maybe. Also they put that R on it as if it had a vinyl top. I wonder if originally it did have a vinyl top and when they removed that, they only kept that piece. The back vents don't looks textured however.

His third picture was when he brought it to the park last September here in NC, here is another from that day ...

It is VERY NICE, I'm just surprised to see it up for sale.

I don't think you'll find one in that price range that is restorable, maybe a parts car, it would definitely be a project at that price though.

I have a "project" '65 I am looking to sell, however, it would be WAY higher than you are looking to get one for, even in its present state.

I got in touch with Ray when the auction first started on Wed, and was waiting for him to get me some more info yesterday. He said it sold to a local buyer yesterday that saw it on Nextdoor.
