1991 Reatta Coupe For Sale--SOLD

As the title states, I have a 1991 Reatta with 177K miles on the odometer. Nearly everything is operation on the car, except the dash dimming function. There are no warning lights, as I spent a great deal of time sorting it all out when I first purchased the car. It was originally a Florida car, but the original owner was a snowbird, and it came back to Ohio to stay. It is starting to show its time in Ohio, as some rust has appeared on the rear wheel lips. The paint is silver, with the clear peeling off. The interior is marginal, with the passenger seat being in fairly good shape, though with a split seam. Aftermarket Kenwood receiver, with remote, Infinity speakers in rear, as well as amp in trunk--really nice sound system (still have original radio). Original wheels, with nice Reatta caps residing in the garage (Buick caps installed). Runs very well. I have a few spare parts and original owners book.

I'm looking to get $1600 for the car. I will get some current photos ASAP, as the car currently resides at a friends house--no room here.

Thanks.

My research says 64 silver coupes......44 with grey, 11 with red, 9 with blue.

I would classify it as a parts car with the rust showing......you know the subframes are rusted.  With the rust showing it would hardly be worth repairing the rust and repainting unless you have the talent to di it yourself.

I will say it is the best looking car on his "lot"

I really didn't know the numbers breakdown on the car--it is interesting. I guess I forgot that the 1991's were the fewest produced (and with all the upgrades--just in time to be discontinued). I don't believe the subframe is an issue on this car, as I said, it was a FL car. The problem is that it was driven one winter (maybe another before I got it), which is when the rust started popping up. It would be nice if the car found its way into the hands of someone that "knows" these cars. I don't like the idea of it being just a used car to be tossed aside, but....

If you have any questions about it, please feel free to ask.

Thanks.

Sorry if I come across as a "downer" here...

Except for vandal damage my first Reatta looked very much like yours. I watched it languish in the driveway about 3 years after selling a few parts off it. They are worth more money for the parts when they have body rust. Like Barney said, there is a lot more corrosion you cant see than the rust you do see.

Believe me, your intact windshield can bring a major percentage of your asking price and there a whole lot more lucrative parts besides that. Few people want a rusting car, you will sell it for parts or someone else will before long.

I still have the Reatta, and am looking to fund a new set of wheels for another vehicle. $1000 firm takes the car. It is still in the Gibsonburg, Ohio area. I have a spare BCM, a nice set of center caps, and a couple other miscellaneous parts laying about that will go with the car.

--Thanks!
