I have heard good things about Sherm's from another person so I sent them pictures of what I want done and we shall see what the definition of 'NOT cheap' really is. Grimy Posted August 12, 2016 Share Posted August 12, 2016 As you probably know, California has its own environmental regulations which substantially exceed Federal requirements, and there are fewer and fewer platers here. You mentioned pot metal, and that requires painstaking work and a patient, very careful grinder. Depending on the number and depth of pits in each piece, there may be multiple copper platings and dressings. Sherms is worth it to me for pot metal and for parts with a lot of detail which would be ground out at most production shops. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
