motoringicons Posted July 20, 2016 Share Posted July 20, 2016 (edited) This 1926 Model T Tudor sedan has one of the nicest body and fender assemblies I have seen in a long, long time. It has been repainted once, many years ago and today, the black paint still shows quite well. The body has no evidence of repairs. The door bottoms, sills, rockers, subframe,, cowl panels, quarters, etc show no signs of ever being damaged or fixed. The doors open and close like new. The underneath of the fenders are just as nice as the tops and the running boards have no wear on the metal pyramids. On the insides, the original floorboards are intact and show hardly any wear. The body is just as tight as when it was new. The original seats were recovered with replacement material many years ago. They are clean, intact and very usable. The headliner and rear panels still retain their original fabric which is still well preserved. All of the glass is good and operates as it should. The chassis is all original and completely stock. The chassis components are free of rust pits and still retain lots of original paint. This car was just removed out of long term, dry storage. The engine starts easily, runs well, does not seem to overheat, nor does it make any strange noises.The engine runs well on both battery and magneto. The bands appear to be good, the rear end is quiet, the transmission shifts smoothly. and the emergency brake works. The steering could use some tightening. The lights and horn work and wood wheels appear solid and tight. The tires are old but still usable. This is a super solid and honest Model T.
