Looking for Car for sale websites

Hemmings is still the 800-pound gorilla of old car advertising. Everything else is a distant second.

Ebay generates a lot of eyeballs but you'll get lowball offers and bids but maybe you can make a deal afterwards. I've also found on eBay that buyers will often try to offer you 70% of your asking price to try to get a deal, so put a "Buy It Now" on the car that's 130% of what you really want (don't expect to get it) and let them lowball. Set the actual reserve at what you'll really take for the car, the lowest possible, bottom-line, get-it-gone-now price. They'll think the reserve is closer to the Buy It Now figure. I get a surprising number of retracted bids like that, as if buyers don't really want to buy the car and freak out when they clear the reserve, but it cuts down on the lowball nonsense.
