For Sale: A Rare and Restored 1943 Ford GPW Jeep

4 posts in this topic

This 1943 Ford GPW Jeep is likely to be one of the nicest, restored examples available.

It has been driven about 900 miles since being given a frame off, restoration about 10 years ago. Since the restoration was completed, it has been stored in a climate controlled, museum-like setting and has been regularly used and maintained.  Prior to the restoration, the body was in excellent original condition and shows virtually no signs of damage neglect or repair.  During the restoration, the complete drive train was rebuilt including the engine, fwd unit, transmission, brakes, radiator, steering, suspension, tires and exhaust. The interior was restored using the proper canvas covering for the seats and the folding top assembly. The paint shows virtually no wear. The chassis and engine bay were properly refinished and show hardly any signs of usage.   It runs and drives great and does everything a Jeep is supposed to do. All of the gauges, lights, horn, etc function properly.
Included with the jeep is the correct fire extinguisher, jack, data/VIN plate, owner's manual, etc. It currently has WWII Canadian Army marking which could easily be changed, if desired.  WWII Ford Jeeps are considered quite scarce by military enthusiasts and early Ford collectors alike. This one has been properly restored and is ready to use and enjoy.
The price is 18,500.00 USD and it is currently located in Windsor, Ontario, Canada-about 30 miles from Detroit, MI. I can easily arrange for import and delivery to Detroit, Michigan.
Please call 734-730-4274 or email: motoringicons@hotmail.com to schedule a viewing or for more information.
Thank you very much.
