johnworden1
Looking for a new shift lever boot and the grommet for pass fender hole for spare carrier. I've asked Metro, Roberts, Bernbaum. Thanks. John
johnworden1
Lynn Steele has the grommet. Finding the correct large rubber shift lever boot is a problem.
jpage
My friend, another forum guy, bought a shift boot from Roberts for his '37 Dodge recently. Forgot to ask about the grommet.

jpage
Vic is who I was talking about. Looks like his boot and the boot in question might be different.I'm not sure which is original.
johnworden1
The large one was on the 37 when it came in to my shop. That doesn't mean that it is original though. However there are detailed "renderings/photos" in 2 Dodge truck specific history/resto guides showing the large boot. John
jpage
You might be able to make one from a large rubber boot from a master cylinder or slave cylinder. Maybe check a large equipment dealer as they may have some accordian style boots on hand.
johnworden1
I'm pretty sure no one repops the large boot so I am going to restore this one using "flexible parts repair material" used to repair modern bumper covers. The boot doesn't flex much at all and the repair material will fill the cracks, sands easily and is paintable. John
