STUDE48
I need help locating parts or cores for the wagner em-201 chain drive starter for my 1920 Studebaker special six, any help is appreciated thank you, Ethan
Stude Light
I have a Wagner S-503 which is listed in the Parts Manual for a 1924 and 1925 Special Six and Big Six. I also have a Remy 723A which is listed for a 1921 - 1925 Special Six and Big Six. The Wagner EM-201 is shown fitting the 1919 - 1922 Special Six, Big Six and all the models from 1916 - 1918. My guess is that either the S-503 or 723A starter will fit all Special Six models. rbk
Carlos We are ready to help. Do you know the model number of the starter you need? There should be a tag on the firewall under the hood that will give us some info your car. There maybe a tag with a serial number on the frame behind the front wheel. Is your starter missing or just broken? Robert Kapteyn Joliet Illinois

I believe they are in a wooden box or a really heavy blue bin Great project Carlos! rbk
Scott and Carlos I have many starters and generators (dynamos) Not only the ones that you brought but other from Studebaker parts inventories I bought over the last 50 years. My problem is that it takes a lot of time but I want to make a webpage with the many starters and generators I have. I am old and slow and it will take awhile.
