trimacar
That's interesting! Have they done some additional restoration on the Arbuckle car lately? The last time I saw it, which has been a few years back, I don't think it would have judged as highly as it seems that it did. The 1940 Packard 160 convertible sedan I trimmed was there, the owner enjoyed the show and got to chat with Leno for a few minutes. There apparently was a CCCA judging in conjunction with this show, and the Packard got 99 points. The 1 point deduction was because he had no boot for the top! He'd not wanted to put the top down so I didn't make one, wish now I'd stuffed some material in a bag, and called it a boot, for him to take! Looks like it was a great show..... edinmass
Dave, the car was restored about eight years ago if memory serves me. It is BIG and PURPLE, but looks nice. It was a high point restoration. I think it sold at BJ auction, Ed.
K8096
I thought I saw it on display in the Blackhawk Collection in California in 2002. Maybe I'm missing something, but it looks the same as when I saw it.
