jpage
I'm interested in purchasing a new, authentic, good quality 1930's style fedora. I don't want a costume hat but I don't want to break the bank either. Does anyone have any recommendations as to where to find one. I've looked at Bollman but their color choices are limited. I'd like to find one that has a bound outer rim. Thanks in advance. Jim
motoringicons
Here are some good sources for quality, vintage-era, hats. I collect hats so I am always on the look out for cool sources. I have purchased from these three companies and have been very pleased: http://www.hats-plus.com http://www.gentlemansemporium.com/gentlemans.php http://www.goorin.com/shops/chicago-wicker-park/ If you decide to buy an original hat, keep in mind that old, original hats tend to come in small sizes. I have found that most original hats will not fit me. Edited February 11, 2016 by motoringicons (see edit history)
jpage
Thanks for the info, I'll look at them. I thought about an original, but I thought they might be hard to find in good condition plus I want one to wear.
