trimacar
Well, of course, first thing is it's not a 1909, but rather a 1911, mid to late year production. A Model 20 touring is fairly unusual to find, there are some out there, but not near as many touring bodies as there are runabouts. I've been looking at Model 20's and talking to owners for over 30 years, and my wild ass guess is that for every 40 runabouts or torpedo bodies, there's 1 touring. There are hundreds of 1909-11 Hupmobiles that have survived. I almost bought a 1910 Model 20 touring a while back, when the deal fell through, a good friend of mine said "That's a shame you didn't get it, with a Model 20 touring, you can carry two more people to help you push!" This would be an interesting car for somebody, particularly if you live and tour in fairly flat country. Hills are not a friend to a Model 20..... Hupp36
Yes, a 1911. If I had sold the 1929 Hupp I restored this fall, this car would be sitting in my door yard. It is correct in all points. A lot of car for the money.
Max BURKE
G'day Huppers. I wonder what the numbers are? Our touring is car no 9499 said to be June 1911. As sold it did not have front enclosure but we restored it to have the later weather kit as we have used it touring in some ordinary weather. Engine no is 9630.Max Burke Nulkaba 2325 Australia.
